Privacy Policy

In short: the free converter runs entirely in your browser — the images you convert are never uploaded or stored by us. We only process personal data if you choose to sign in with Google (name, email, avatar) or pay for AI 3D mode (handled by Stripe). Images sent to AI 3D mode are processed by our AI provider to generate your model and are not used for anything else.

1. Who we are

ImageToSTL.online ("we", "us", "the Service") is an online tool at https://imagetostl.online/ that converts 2D images into 3D printable STL files. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your choices are. For questions or requests, contact us at support@imagetostl.online.

2. The free converter: your images stay on your device

All free conversion modes (Photo Relief, Logo Extrude, Lithophane, Keychain) run 100% locally in your browser using the Canvas and WebGL APIs. When you use them:

Your image is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.
We do not see, store, or have any access to your files or the STL models you generate.
No account is required and no personal data is collected.

3. Data we collect if you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional and only needed for AI 3D mode. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

Your Google account identifier (a numeric ID)
Your email address
Your display name and profile picture URL

We use this data solely to identify your account, keep track of your AI 3D credits or subscription status, and contact you about your account if necessary. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the processors listed below. Account data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (our database).

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Images processed by AI 3D mode

AI 3D mode is the only feature that sends an image to a server. When you use it:

Your image is transmitted to our backend (Cloudflare) and forwarded to our AI processing provider, fal.ai, to generate the 3D model.
We store only a generation record (request ID, your account ID, status, timestamp) for billing and abuse prevention — not the image itself.
The provider processes the image to fulfil your request, subject to its own privacy policy.
The generated model belongs to you.

Do not submit images you do not have the right to use, or images containing sensitive personal data.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and remaining credit balance so we can provide what you paid for. 6. Cookies

We use a single, strictly necessary cookie:

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you never sign in, no cookie is set by us.

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@imagetostl.online from the address you signed in with. We will delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. payment records).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@imagetostl.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
